Reduced fees
We are keen to help families where financial hardship might prevent a child from accessing Music Therapy. If you are in receipt of Universal Credit you may be entitled to receive up to a 70% reduction in fees.
Fully funded places
Fully funded places are intended for children who would otherwise be unable to access Music Therapy because of financial hardship.
Parents or carers will normally be asked to provide:
- Evidence of current Universal Credit entitlement; and
- One of the following:
- a written referral from a recognised professional confirming that the child would benefit from music therapy and that cost is a significant barrier to accessing the service.
OR:
- other documentary evidence of financial hardship acceptable to EMT including:
- Income Support
- Job Seekers Allowance
- Housing Benefit
- Council Tax Rebate
OR:
- evidence of entitlement to Pupil Premium.
We will ask to see written evidence of the benefits you receive. A photocopy is acceptable. In order to confirm eligibility we also reserve the right to consult your child’s head teacher regarding any request for assistance with fees.
Jessie’s Fund
If you are not eligible to receive fees remission, then Jessie’s Fund may be able to help. Jessie’s Fund supports children in the UK who have disabilities or complex needs through the therapeutic use of music. Jessie’s Fund provides grants to individuals usually for 10-12 Music Therapy sessions and a report.
